Good News and I'm Quirky

The movers came today! Bright and early, and a bunch of our stuff was broken, but now we get to work with claims, which is a different company and they seem to have it much more together. What's more, I took a nap on my BED this afternoon.

To celebrate, I will be posting a meme, for which I was tagged, I'm sure, because I am the quirkiest person many people know.

Six Things
Rules: Each player of the game starts with “6 weird things/habits about you”. You need to list six weird habits you have or things you do that seem weird to others. At the end you must list or “tag” six people who need to complete this. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own “6 weird things/habits” as well as state this rule clearly. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they have been tagged and to read your blog!!

1. I have permanent vocal cord damage, which, as far as the doctor can tell, is due mainly to how loudly and frequently I sing "Happy Birthday." When I worked in an ice cream parlor, I got requests for solos when people came in on their birthday, when I mention it's my most famous song I tend to get requests, which I always oblige, and I really want people to have happy birthdays. Okay, the vocal cord damage isn't solely due to that, but it's more that I'm the kind of girl who does things like happy birthday. I've been working on my inside voice for decades, and I really like talking.

2. I have flossed my teeth every day since 29 December 2002. Previous to that I flossed 3-4 times a year. In other words, I like to set worthy goals and keep them. Hey, that's a great thing about me!

3. I can only have one arch-nemesis at a time. About a year ago, Ruth D. retired from that position and has been replaced by someone we'll call Tommers, but who I have been forbidden to talk bad about to people who don't need to know. What's more, none of my arch-nemeses have ever been aware of our horrible relationship.

4. I love to play Hypothetical Situation. AJ will play with me, even though he claims to not be very good at it, and actually, all of the hyp. sit.s he comes up with are from his childhood. Hmm. And I take them way too seriously. If it's an AJ dying or leaving me or something happening to our hypothetical children I often end up in tears. Talk about a patient husband!

5. When I hear a duck quack, it makes me laugh like crazy. Now that we live Right Next To a lake, I hear ducks quacking pretty frequently. But it sounds like they're laughing, or more like completely mocking another duck. WA-wa-wa-wa-wak!

6. I talk to things. For example, today I told my bed how much I had missed it.

Now regarding tagging, I don't know if I know 6 people who read this who haven't gotten it yet. Okay, how about
1. Chelle and Chel
2. Ross
3. Tiger, (on Beebe's blog)and just to get him started, he doesn't believe in germs
4. Katie, because she hasn't posted in about a thousand years
5. Mom, because I'm always surprised to find out new stuff about the person who knows me since before I was born. (Mom, I'm sure Karin would let you post on her blog)
6. Scott? Wouldya?

Thanks for the meme. I'm sure one (or both) of will respond. Chelle seems to have so many more quirks than I do...I'm just sure of it.

Great list, Em! I hope Tiger posts about not believing in germs.

I have witnessed the role playing. I wouldn't participate.

Great list! It was hard for me to come up with 6 things because I think what I do is normal.

I like your list. I, like Karin had a tough time coming up with things.
