Number Four, Privet Drive

The only word that doesn't actually belong in the title is "Privet." We do love Harry Potter, and we read to each other frequently, but this is not an HP post.

We just bought our 4th car off eBay. That's in the last 12 months. The first 2 cars were awesome, the third, well, I ought to wait until it's officially sold on Friday to speak ill of it, but Steve is not a decent businessman. You see, we spent about $5K on it, and he advertised warranty. There was no warranty, and Steve has been an absolute pill to us. So we've shelled out about $2K since we got it in October to make it legal to drive. Problem is, there's a ton more work that needs to be done on it. So we're selling it to Rudy on Friday, for less than $4K. It's true we could get more money for it from someone else, but Rudy knows what he's getting in to with this car, and we would feel horrible unloading it on some sweet unsuspecting person the way Steve did to us. We actually discussed getting the personalized license plate "IH8STEVE"

So, we bought another car. I was very hesitant to give eBay another go with this, but AJ said, don't worry, we'll drive the car around a bit before we shell out the money, even if it means a bad eBay rating. It's a 97 Honda Accord, by far the newest Honda either of us has owned. :) High hopes. And at the least, Japanese cars are a lot cheaper to fix than European ones.
